America – The Land of Opportunities

Numerous people worldwide left their homes and immigrated to the United States in the late 1800s, searching for economic opportunity, fleeing crop failure, land and job shortages, rising taxation, and famine. Between 1870 and 1900, almost 12 million immigrants arrived in the United States seeking personal freedom.

The vast majority of these people came from Germany, Ireland, and England during the 1870s and 1880s, which were the primary sources of immigration before the Civil War.

Immigrants began looking for jobs after they had settled. While mass immigration generated several societal conflicts, it also gave towns and states where the immigrants settled fresh energy. The immigrants contributed to the transformation of American society and culture, demonstrating that both diversity and unity are sources of national strength.

The American Dream

Immigration and jobs were two of the most prominent issues among voters in the 2016 election. Due to financial difficulties, some Americans believe that the only way to achieve economic stability is to limit immigration. Many Americans mistakenly associate immigration with job loss, with the phrase “the foreigners are taking our jobs” resonating in their heads.

Despite this, the research found that 43 percent of Fortune 500 companies were founded by first- or second-generation immigrants in the United States. Furthermore, according to the National Foundation for American Policy, immigrant co-founders are present in 55 percent of billion-dollar digital unicorn companies.

Certain advantages that the United States offers attract foreigners. These benefits enable people to immigrate to the United States in quest of a better life. Foreign countries may not have the resources to support some people who want to pursue an entrepreneurial career, so they will look to America to see that anyone, regardless of appearance, may pursue their ambition of owning a firm.

Immigrants in America use the freedom they have to make opportunities for themselves. Immigrants can use entrepreneurship to create jobs for themselves and those around them. People consider going to America for a better life when they think of foreign countries. To ensure that individuals have a good quality of life, America promotes the words freedom and opportunity. Most immigrants come from areas around the country where they face a variety of difficulties such as a large population, poverty, a weak economy, or no rights at all. Once they arrive in the United States, they have the opportunity to start over and live the American dream.

Tech Sector in America

A tech sector professional’s average annual salary in the United States is $71,809. This is about $20,000 more per year than the average American salary of $51,480. Even newcomers to the tech business earn an average of $53,000, which is still higher than the average American wage.

The “Big Four,” which include Amazon, Apple, Google, and Facebook, are collectively valued at $4 trillion. These companies employ around 1.68 million people in total, with Amazon providing the majority of this labor (1.3 million).

In the United States, there are at least 585,000 IT enterprises. This is astonishing when you consider that the ‘Big Four’ and Microsoft account for roughly 20% of the overall market. According to Forbes and the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for software engineers with the relevant skillset is predicted to climb 22% from 2019 to 2029.

EndNote

America has always been an immigrant-friendly country. Without them, it would never have gotten to where it is now. The majority came searching for a chance to start a new life for themselves and their families, even if there were no guarantees of success. It has been claimed that freedom does not come free. Those who receive and benefit from that heritage should be the last to forget about it.
